For nearly five decades, ESEI has established a close relationship with Harvard Business School. In 1963, Harvard Business School approved the establishment of the Harvard-ESEI Joint Committee, dedicated to providing long-term guidance for the development of IESE. In 1964, under the guidance of the Harvard-IESE Joint Committee, the full-time MBA program of IESE was opened, which was the first full-time MBA program in Europe. The committee has met every year since then, either in the United States or Europe. In 1994, the Harvard-ESEI Joint Committee also played an important role in the establishment of the IESE-Harvard Joint International Executive Education Program.
